ALONG THE WAY to or from the Tenuta

Thermal Springs and Spa- Tuscany has an abundance of natural thermal springs and spas you can visit. They range from the luxury resort centered around a spring to a DIY hike with a nice soak at a secluded spring. Most of them are heavily visited so do your research and see all your options. Below is a link to a selection of springs and another link to a long list of additional options.

San Giovanni Terme Rapolano - a little more fancy and formal.

List of 7 Hot Springs in Province of Siena - more of a nature vibe and accessible. These can get very crowded so do your research as to which one you’d like to visit.

Road SR2, Val d'Orcia - The scenic drive between Pienza/San Quirico/Chianciano of Tuscany’s iconic golden rolling hills. Definitely worth the drive.

Pitigliano- Historic Synagogue and Jewish Community, Little Jerusalem Town. Coming from or to Rome - For several hundred years Pitigliano was a frontier town between the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and, to the south, the Papal States. For this reason, the town was home to a flourishing and long-lived Jewish community, mostly made up by people fleeing from Rome during the Counterreformationpersecutions. Jews of the town used one of the caves for their ritual Passover matzoh bakery, the forno delle azzime described in detail in Edda Servi Machlin's "Classic Cuisine of the Italian Jews". After the promulgation of racial laws under Nazi influence, all the Jews of the town reportedly escaped capture with the help of their Christian neighbors. Although there are almost no Jews left in town, not enough to provide a minyan, the synagogue (1598, with furnishings of the 17th and 18th centuries) is still officiated from time to time. It was restored in 1995. - Wikipedia

Gardens of Bomarzo - Coming from or to Rome. The Sacro Bosco ("Sacred Grove")colloquially called Park of the Monsters (Parco dei Mostri in Italian), also named Garden of Bomarzo, is a Mannerist monumental complex located in Bomarzo, in the province of Viterbo, in northern Lazio, Italy. The garden was created during the 16th century. The design is attributed to Pirro Ligorio, and the sculptures to Simone Moschino. Situated in a wooded valley bottom beneath the castle of Orsini, it is populated by grotesque sculptures and small buildings located among the natural vegetation. - Wikipedia
